It’s Project Swole’s first ever product giveaway!
We all know how important it is to get enough essential fatty acids in your diet, especially Omega-3s. What better way to get your daily dose of Omega-3s, than to supplement with fish oil?
If you are unfamiliar with the benefits of supplementing with fish oil, read some of the following posts:
A quick fish oil summary:
Basically we need to supplement with Omega 3 to offset the increased concentration of Omega 6 in our diets. This will protect us from inflammation, while keeping many of our bodily systems in check. Supplementing with fish oil not only keeps us healthy, but also helps us recover from workouts.
Now that we’ve established how important it is to supplement with fish oil, I want to help you get some.

The Contest
I am looking to give something back to you guys (and girls) because I really appreciate you visiting Project Swole and supporting my efforts to help people live healthy lives.
I have a one month supply of recoup|90 fish oil by Bioseutica USA that I am going to give away to a Project Swole reader.
Do You Want a Free 1 Month Supply of Fish Oil?
Here’s what you have to do:
- Subscribe to updates through RSS, or through e-mail using the form at the top of the page.
- Use the Project Swole contact form to submit your very best fish recipe ever or send me an e-mail.
- Wait until March 1st 2009 for me to decide which of your recipes is the best ever.
- If you win, I will need a shipping address to send your winnings.
What Should the Submissions Contain?
- Ingredients with exact quantities (ex. 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil).
- Cooking instructions: how to mix it and how to cook it.
- Optional: your opinions and comments on the dish.
- Optional: nutrition facts.
How Will I Choose the Winner?
I have absolutely no idea how many recipes I will get, so I’m not sure if I will be able to make each dish. In the case that I can’t follow and try each recipe, I will have to base my decision on the following:
- Completeness of the recipe. Is it clear exactly what to use, how much to use, and how to make it? If the directions and ingredients are not clear, I won’t bother trying to decipher it. Trash can.
- Uniqueness. Is your recipe just baked haddock with bread crumbs? If so, don’t bother sending it in. I want to say to myself, “Wow, that’s a great idea, I have to try this!”
- Does it sound tasty. If you submit a ‘unique’ recipe for cooking fish with vodka or by covering it with lima beans, I’m going to just throw it away because both of those sound sick.
- Healthier food will win. If one recipe calls for a stick of butter and a pound of breadcrumbs, and another recipe calls for a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil and a few select spices, the stick of butter recipe will end up in the town dump.
- Nutrition facts bonus. Although listed as optional up above, any recipe that contains nutrition facts is of more use to us than a recipe without nutrition facts. Therefore nutrition facts will indeed earn most recipes an extra point.
Update: In the case that no one submits a recipe, I will randomly choose a winner from my e-mail subscribers. Register at the top of the page.
What Else Will You Get Just For Entering?
What, you don’t care about the month supply of fish oil? Well that’s OK because there is something else in it for you.
If you submit a recipe to me and you have a website, please be sure to submit the URL of your website when you submit the recipe because you might earn yourself a free dofollow backlink.
I intend to publish several of these recipes to the Project Swole blog. Therefore, if your recipe is deemed worthy, I will publish it even if it doesn’t win.
When I publish your recipe, I will give credit to you along with a dofollow link back to your website.
Project Swole receives upwards of 3,000 unique visitors each day and we are constantly networking and increasing our presence on the search engines. Any dofollow link from Project Swole will be great for your website.
